4th FINA World Junior Swimming Championships

Congratulations to Windsor's 15 years old Rami Elias, who represented Sudan, at the 4th FINA World Junior Swimming Championships at The Hamdan Complex in Dubai this August. He swam the 50m backstroke in 31.87s (PB), and his swims in the 100m, and 200m backstroke 2.29 and 100m freestyle, in a completely new environment for Rami were good solid swims.

This was Rami's first taste of international swimming and he gained a lot of experience and took a lot away from it.

Matt Heathcock, the Head Coach of Windsor Swimming Club was very proud of Rami and said "It was a great experience for Rami. It was great to see him show so much commitment and dedication over the late July and August time to train in the public sessions on his own at Windsor Leisure Centre as the rest of his training colleagues were taking their well earned rest. Rami joined Windsor as a 9 year old and we are very proud to see another swimmer from Windsor Swimming Club gain International selection."
