Albert Karavis wins silver in a season's best time at the English National Championships
We're proud to extend our congratulations to all of the boys who swam at the English National Championships in Ponds Forge, Sheffield earlier this August. Albert Karavis, aged 17, put in Season's best times for his 1500m, 400IM and 200 freestyle events resulting in a Silver medal in the 1500m in a time very close to his PB which was an excellent and well deserved result. Albert joined Windsor in the Learn to Swim programme and now swims in the National/Regional Squad.
Albert also swam as part of the boys 4x100 freestyle and 4x200 freestyle relay teams with his team mates, Tom Irwin, Crispin Amani and Cameron Moffat. The 4x200 relay made the final and finished in 9th place overall in a personal best time of 08:08.32.
Harvey Karavis, aged 15, Albert's younger brother, raced in the 100 and 200 backstroke events qualifying for finals in both and achieving Personal Best times of 1:03.30 and 2:17. 81 respectively. Harvey finished up just short of the medals in a very credible and well deserved 9th place for the 200 backstroke and 6th in the 100 backstroke.
Well done to everyone!English National Championships
