This weekend saw swimmers, parents and coaches from Windsor Swimming Club let their hair down at the Club's Christmas Party and Annual Presentation evening at the Harte & Garter Hotel, Windsor.
It was great to see so many people there with members from Beginners to Masters enjoying themselves with a well earned break away from the pool! As well as celebrating the success of the Club and it's swimmers in the 2015 Club Championships, it was also an opportunity to have fun and show off their moves on the dance floor!
Congratulations to everyone that took part in the Club Championships and in particular to all the swimmers who won trophies and medals, which were presented on the night by the Chairman, David Redshaw and Treasurer, Martin Walsh.
Two very special awards were given this year for outstanding contribution to WSC. The Chairman's Shield was awarded to Emma Ramsden-Head, Welfare Officer for all her hard work behind the scenes and The Eddie Kitchen Award was given to Chris Moran, who regularly officiates at all our meets from Mini Meets upwards making it possible for all your children to compete. He does this despite not having children at the club himself. We would like to thank them both again for everything they do for the Club.
Thank you also to Devon Wilkes for for all his hard work on collating and engraving all the trophies and also thank you and to Jaqui McGee for organising Club Champs.
The Committee would like to thank parents, swimmers and the coaching team for supporting the club over the past year and we hope 2016 sees the club grow from strength to strength.
