Welsh Capital Open Meet 2013

Windsor Swimming Club saw the Long Course Swimming Season off to a fantastic start this weekend at the Welsh Capital Open Meet in Cardiff.

This prestigious Level 1 meet started on Friday evening with the Girls 800 and Boys 1500 freestyle and was followed by two full days of racing over Saturday and Sunday. Around 20 of our swimmers represented the club and they performed superbly, many achieving personal best times, county times and a medal count consisting of 3 Golds, 5 Silvers and 10 Bronzes.

National Masters and Senior Age Group Championships 2013

This weekend 4 Windsor swimmers made the journey up to Sheffield to compete in the British Gas National Masters and Senior Age Group Championship.

First round of the Arena league 2013

A great first round of the Arena league 2013. The A team finished 2nd losing out by 1 point to first place. The B team finished in 3rd place.

Some fantastic individual swims as well some close finishing relays. The team atmosphere for both the A and B was great. Thank you to all the staff on the night. Thank you to all the parents and their support.

A big well done to all the swimmers! keep working hard round 2 is on the 9th November 2013.

Milton Keynes Junior League

What a great start to the 2013/14 season for Windsor swimming club.

Last night saw the final round of the Milton Keynes Junior league.

Head of teaching Anoushka Dovey led the final round assisted by Head Coach Matt Heathcock, Early comp Coach Amy French and teacher Amy Cross.

Windsor won the final round by over 20 points. Windsors young swimmers from 9 years up to 12 year olds stood out from the start.

Final update from the Nationals

Congratulations to Lucy Campbell who finished 4th in the Girls 17/18 years 800m Freestyle in a time of 8:50.84 which broke her own Club Record that she set at the World Trials just four weeks earlier!

Milton Keynes Junior League Round 2

Windsor Swimming Club had tough competition this Saturday in the second round of the Milton Keynes Junior League, racing against strong teams from Staines, Ealing and Hillingdon.

Although Hillingdon A took the lead from the start, second place was not that easy to determine as it was a battle between Windsor, Staines and Ealing throughout with the gap of points between the three teams ranging from 2-10 points.  Windsor finished in fourth place by a mere 5 points from second place Ealing.
