Cameron – Head Coach

Cameron has been a member of Windsor Swimming Club since the age of 11, first representing the club as a competitive swimmer before beginning his coaching journey in 2015 as a Junior Coach. Over the next seven years, he led the club’s junior squads, creating a high-energy, engaging, and educational environment where swimmers could thrive and develop a love for the sport.

In 2023, Cameron was appointed Head Coach of Windsor SC. Since taking on the role, he has established a clear vision and strategy for the club, while building a highly committed and united coaching team to drive continued success and progression. He currently leads the club’s National Development and Senior Competitive Squads, while remaining closely involved with all squads across both the coaching programme and the academy. Cameron has coached multiple swimmers to national medals and qualification for the Aquatics GB Swimming Championships.

Cameron is a Swim England Senior Coach who is passionate about mentoring both swimmers and coaches. He is particularly dedicated to identifying and developing swimmers within the club who show an interest in pursuing future roles in teaching and coaching.

Ben – Regional Development Coach

With over eight years of coaching experience, Ben brings both expertise and enthusiasm to the poolside. He currently coaches the Regional Development Squad, guiding swimmers as they progress in their technique, confidence, and competitive performance.

As a former competitor at the British Nationals, Ben understands the commitment and drive it takes to perform at a high level. He uses this first-hand knowledge to motivate and support his swimmers, encouraging them to push their limits while enjoying the sport.

Ben’s goal is to create a positive training environment where every swimmer can grow, improve, and achieve personal bests.

Matt – County Development Coach

Known for his positive and inclusive coaching style, honed whilst teaching and coaching various squads since 2019, Matt helps swimmers navigate the step up into competitive swimming as County Development Squad Coach, building their speed and endurance with the aim of gaining County qualification. Developing an appropriate attitude toward training and competing are at the heart of each of his sessions.

Matt knows the club inside out having swum with Windsor SC before the home pool was even in the town itself, having served on the committee for 3 years as well as supporting swimmers at meets as a Team Manager and Official.

Having 3 children who train with the club from Academy to National squad affords him valuable insights into how to support the parents of swimmers too.

Ege – Senior Development Coach

Ege started his journey at Windsor at the age of 11 where he swam at County and Regional level at butterfly. He started teaching 2014 with Advanced and Early Development then moved into the coaching programme in 2019.

Ross – Masters Coach

Ross has been the lead coach of the Masters squad for the past 5 years, having also swum in the squad for four years himself.

Ross absolutely loves working with swimmers to help them develop, growing their confidence to race longer distances and different strokes.

Ross is most proud of the way in which the Masters squad has grown over the last years from 5 to 35 with over 18 racing and 6 going to Nationals.

Previously, Ross supported the Academy squads, and Junior Development over a period of 8 years.

Ross has swum from as far back as he can remember and represented Great Britain in Rowing as well as completing countless triathlons and and the UK Ironman.

Caren – Head of Academy

As a seasoned swimming coach with over 30 years of experience, I’ve been fortunate to have grown up in the beautiful surroundings of South Africa, where my love for swimming and lifesaving was nurtured. From competing provincially to earning provincial colours, my passion for the sport has only grown stronger.

My expertise lies in teaching strokes, stroke correction, and motivating swimmers to reach their full potential. I’m grateful that the swimmers I’ve had the privilege to coach have achieved remarkable success, including being named Swimmer of the Year and securing victories in various competitions. I’m blessed to be able to do what I love every day, and I’m committed to helping my swimmers achieve their goals.

Three years ago, I immigrated to the UK and joined Windsor Swimming Club as an Assistant Teacher. I have since been appointed Head of Academy and I’m excited to share my passion with the talented swimmers coming through the Academy, and to watch them grow as they move into competitive racing, and achieve excellent results.

Bryony – Club Squad – Junior & Senior

Bryony has loved swimming since first learning to swim with the Academy, and has been teaching since 2011 when she started volunteering for the Electric Eels Swimming Club.

Bryony joined Windsor Swimming Club as a teacher in the Academy.

In September 2022 Bryony helped set up Club Junior, an alternative pathway into the club for those who are new to competitive swimming, or for those who want to continue for fitness and development without the commitment of competing.

Club Junior has since produced competitive swimmers who have moved to our County and Regional Squads, and has continued to grow with Club Senior which was formed in September 2024.

She has continued her professional development through teaching and coaching a range of ages and abilities. Developing water confidence for babies, toddlers and nervous swimmers, through to those learning to train competitive swimming skills, she hopes to foster an ongoing love for swimming.
